The Wasted Lives, New Orleans, LA
The Wasted Lives is an entertaining, interactive Honky Tonk band. Drawing on 1940’s to 1970’s classic country and western swing songs The Wasted Lives honors some of their favorite songsters; Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams, Hazel Dickens, Kitty Wells and Bob Dickelman to name a few. This New Orleans based band’s members hail from many points out yonder, but discovered a common love of old time country music and quickly formed a joyous group that plays, not to get famous; but to celebrate their favorite music, have fun and encourage others to do the same. They have been running a successful weekly All-Star Covered Dish Country Jamboree in New Orleans with many guest acts, joke contests, covered dish suppers, and dancing.
