Therapeutic art is a creation of wood burning with and without color. I retired a few years ago and decided to hone my hobbies skills. I have always enjoyed writing along with arts and crafts. I started out by writing four childrens books (The Adventures of Cory Winston).
For my birthday my daughters gave me a paint party, this was the best gift I could have recieved. This gave me a new desire to start painting. I started out with the youtube tutorials then moved on to instructional books. Slowly, I got a technic of my own, but the desire to continue slowly made me start looking for something else.
One day I was at the hobby store and seen some wood burning instructional manuels and bought a few and some supplies. After 3 months of learning and experimenting this has become a love of mine.
Now wood burning or pyrogravure (writing with fire), decorating wood from controlled application of heated objects such as a poker and adding color to my art pieces has become my creative personal touch to most of my designs.
