Town of Waxhaw Events, a division of the Parks & Recreation Department, is the focal point for large and small-scaleeventsin Waxhaw.Planning, coordination, and execution of town-sponsored festivals and events begins and ends here. The Events Division also functions as a resource for individuals or organizations seeking to hold an event within the town limits. Coordination of street closures, requests for public services, and special permissions can be obtained through this division. Four major events are held annually. Art Kaleidoscope/SpringFest is held annually on the third weekend in May. Our July 4th parade, beach party, and fireworks provide a patriotic celebration for residents. Autumn Treasures and the Grill'n & Chill'n BBQ Cook-off, our largest festival, is always the second weekend in October. We wrap up the year with a month long celebration in December beginning with the Holiday Festival of Lights, Menorah lighting, Senior Citizens Christmas Party, Christmas Parade, Wreaths Across America, and more. In Waxhaw, our patriotic spirit shines through with ceremonies held on Memorial Day, Patriot Day, Veterans Day and Wreaths Across America festivities.
