I am a retired school teacher and I found a new passion. Treasured Babies is the name of Reborn Doll business.
I buy authentic reborn doll parts from well known reborn companies. I then paint the limbs and the head and sometimes a vinyl body or body plate. I use Heat Set Paints and then I varnish the parts. If the eyes are open I add high quality eyes. I also use good quality cloth bodies and fill it with glass beads and polyfill to give it weight. I do the same to the limbs and the head. I either draw or paint hair or a combination of both. I also root mohair on a lot of my babies. I put them together. I dress them and I have a doll that looks very realistic! I also make some if their hair accessories and some if the paci clips. Sometimes I make a rattle for them.
