Tres Elegante Designs specializes in collectible art jewelry statement pieces for those who desire versatile jewelry using authentic materials. Tres Elegante Designs is owned by Jan Stiles. Jan's background includes a BS in Architecture from the University of Michigan and a MA in Curriculum from Chapman University. She worked in architecture, engineering and construction for 15 years. For the past 19 years she has been a teacher of mathematics and interior design at the middle school and high school levels. She has lead mission trips to rural Jamaica to assist local churches in construction projects.
As an artist, Jan incorporates many semi-precious stones into her jewelry pieces, including pearls, amethyst, hematite, jade, mother of pearl and more. Her background in architecture provides a strong feeling of movement and 3-dimensionality to her work. She also includes the "controlled chaos" of reticulated and fine silver in unusual ways.
Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jan and her husband live in Phoenix, AZ.
