Why Triple Crossroad? Because at any moment we find ourselves at the intersection of a triple crossroad - within time, standing in the present looking backward or forward, within family, the meeting point between our children and our parents.
I am a self taught artist always in training. From the time my grandmother handed me her button box to keep me occupied, I have been fascinated with small colorful objects. I would sit for hours sorting and creating imaginary worlds. Button people, button animals, button cities unfolded. I told stories about Button World, which the family tolerated for the most part. (My sister rolled her eyes a lot.)
My grandmother was spectacular in finding inexpensive ways to ignite imagination. She brought home sample wall paper books, sample paint tiles, fabric swatches - anything she could find. She handed them to me with the simple idea - have fun.
These are my roots, and creating is my happy place. I have explored various materials throughout my life, but glass has become my inspiration. I also love beading and working with polymer and metal clay. And paper. And paint. And wire. And fibers. Okay, everything.
