Established in 1972 Trumbull Day Trumbull Day began as a family picnic and parade. By 1990, it was a major town event requiring its own commission. In 1995, Trumbull Day actually established the Guinness Book of World Record by organizing the largest saxophone band in history to honor President Bill Clinton. By the late 1990s, crowds grew to exceed 50,000 making Trumbull Day the largest single day event in Fairfield County." Due to a variety of reasons including a failing economy, the last Trumbull Day was held in 2009. Now, 4 years later, Trumbull Day is making its triumphant return.
