Terry T. S. Adams IV ventures into a new endeavor in his life where creating art from a long-term passion is anything but plausible.
Born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida, Terry matured under a strong household with his mother, step-father and two siblings. After graduating from Ft. Pierce Westwood High School, he enlisted in the United States Marines where he spent 22 exhilarating years serving his country.
In that time, he, and his family of seven, ventured throughout the United States from North Carolina to Hawaii as for some time he was deployed to Iraq, Japan and Korea, earning the rank of Master Sergeant (E8) before retiring to Jacksonville, Florida. He now lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
A long-time aficionado of both wine and art, Terry fell in love with the craft at an early age in which selecting wine and even making wine for weddings, milestone birthdays, and just for fun proved to be the commencement of a fascinating craft.
While sipping upon a glass of wine, he observes a shadow cast from the sunlight, illuminated from a near window, in which the shadow of the wine glass was subsequently physically altered to improve its look and overall composition. In these words, the perfect blend of wine and art was created.
Terry has a wide range of pieces in his gallery to which 'Alone at Midnight'. “A featured black and white piece with silver backgrounds, and a seasonal darkness that takes over, but leaves a little to the imagination”. 'One Pair' An elongated piece, featuring two glasses of wine and their complementary shadows. Captured so well, people have a hard time distinguishing if it is a photograph or an oil painting. During a recent art showing, a judge noted, “Terry's art and talent for merging art and wine has both range and depth. I will go on record by acknowledging his piece 'Morning Zin' as my ultimate favorite, although intrigue is evident through them all.”
