Underwater Country Club, Manalapan, NJ
Underwater Country Club is poised to explode again on the east coast music scene in 2011 with its second record release Pantones. The Club looks to follow the success of its debut EP Sexual Attraction, which will now be featured as the title track of the Indie film The Only Two being debuted at the 3rd Annual Philadelphia film festival.
New Ogden Music called Pantones “…the heart of indie-pop…” and states that Pantones is “…2011's big potenital indie break-out album.” Featuring title tracks Try to Keep us Inside and Big Sunglasses, Pantones looks to be UWCC’s best work to date.
2010 was a busy year for UWCC playing packed clubs on the Jersey shore and showing a strong festival line-up including Clam Jam (Fairfield, CT), Schuyler Festival (Watkins Glen, NY), Cornwall-on-Hudson Riverfest (Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY) and the Cambridge River Festival (Cambridge, MA), to name a few!
UWCC features singer song-writer brothers Andrew and Skip Robinson. This duo teamed up with teamed Matt Wade, Tom Dalzell and Brendon Pierson, formerly with Crusoe. The brothers each play several instruments and frequently switch the mood and flavor of the show by changing instruments and alternating lead vocals. The result is a high-energy show that connects with the crowd. The brother’s singing/songwriting ability is only outdone by their crowd engagement and their quick stage humor.
The band keeps an active fan following through Twitter and current postings on its Myspace (www.myspace.com/underwatercountryclub) and Facebook
