The Utah Hemophilia Foundation provides support services and education for children and adults dealing with the challenges of managing a bleeding disorder. Through education, advocacy, and networking, the UHF empowers individuals to live healthier and more self-sufficient lives.
Bleeding disorders can be expensive and intensive to manage. Life saving medication (called Factor) is injected into the arm to help the blood clot properly. Because they are rare, affected individuals (especially children) often feel isolated and must "opt out" of rigorous activities. The UHF helps people to experience as "normal" of a life as possible.
