The Washington Sängerbund, a choral group of some 50 members, strives to preserve German song and the German language. The organization cultivates the study of music and instructs the members in choral singing and in the theoretical knowledge of music, and concertizes throughout the Washington, DC area. The Washington Sängerbund is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.
