Native Sun is a family owned business with three sons, as Navajo Jewelers from Fort Wingate, New Mexico. Watson Billie Sr. works in tradional style jewelry, creating and forging traditional masterpieces with only the finest of stones in the Southwest. " I have a great eye for detail since I was a child, I always say we should create with the intent of a higher purpose and beauty because our work will live longer than we well". Watson continues the tradition of silversmithing and stone cutting for all his children; one being Stewart Billie, second eldest an upcoming young artist who works both in traditional and contempary styles of jewelry. Stewart recently discovered the art of tufa cast and is implenting this technique with a majortity of his work. Like his father, Stewart follows the tradtional Navajo style with a twist. "I think it is important to rememeber who we are, continue and merge both worlds and move foward in our lives and art. " Watson and his entire family are currently working on new masterpieces for everyone to enjoy, just recently Mom, (Diana Billie) joined her family in creating her Professional Sewing of Pendleton Designed Fleece Stuff Animals to contribute to the success of her family.
