The Songwriting of Martin Sexton meets Buddy Guy’s Guitar meets Karl Denson’s Sax. Wes’s songs range from finger picked pseudo-folk to edgy dark pop. Improvised sections, whether on sax or guitar, push him into a trance-like state that takes the music in new and interesting directions. Wes has played in many bands and even did some west-coast touring with Umphrey’s McGee. He also led the house band at Chicago’s House of Blues five nights a week, two weeks a month, for three years and can still be seen there a minimum of 4 nights a month.
