West Virginia University's Mountaineer Week celebrates West Virginia and its Appalachian culture, highlighting the colorful arts, crafts, music, traditions and spirit of the Mountain State. The Mountaineer Week Arts & Craft Fair is held indoors in the Mountainlair Ballrooms in the heart of WVU's downtown campus. All artisans are selected by a panel of jurors. Handmade items include all media of original fine arts and crafts, prints, edibles and beverages. The accompanying Quilt Show is held across the street in historic E. Moore Hall and features a impressive display of handmade quilts.
