What's Up, Birmingham, AL

What's Up is a pop/rock band founded in Tokyo, Japan, by singer and multi-instrumentalist Chipper Bonds. After forming What's Up in 2010, and spending the next year and a half in Tokyo, Bonds came back to the United States to collaborate with Tangent Music Group producer Ben Trexel and create the debut album for the band. Set to release in September 2012, the album is titled “We Are What's Up.” The singles “Everything You Need,” “Love Potential,” and “I Don't Blame You” have already gotten airplay in Japan and have drawn interest from several Japanese record labels including Universal Records Japan.
