Baskets have been used since the Stone Age. My baskets are made with clothes line and cotton fabric. They are hand wrapped with various cloth, then machine sewn. It's when the sewing is done the creative juices start to flow. I knot, twist, gap the rope to create points of interest to my baskets. They can be used to hold things, or a gathering of misplaced items that always seem to be thrown into the junk draw; never to be found again. I've even had them used for that special place to hold an engagement ring, when the question is popped. .
My flowers are made with satin, tulle, feathers, beads, and sometimes vintage jewelry pieces. They are fun pieces to be added to coats, hats, or pocketbooks.
