My artistic talent and ability was first recognized by my HS art teacher. She encouraged me to pursue a career in an art related field. I decided on a business career instead.
Armed with a business degree from Temple University, I entered the " exciting field of insurance". I dabbled in art, mostly water color and pastels while I was working, but it was only after I retired from a successful business career that I returned to my HS passion.
My son gave me a gift of pottery lessons at the Fine Arts Academy in Lynchburg, VA. I fell in love with working in clay, specifically hand building and the art of creating unique shapes in three dimensions.
I continued to push the envelope, with my work evolving into more sculptural pieces of art. Creating unique, one of a kind pieces of art gives me great satisfaction, and is a pleasurable experience to share with so many.
