The Dallas Nelson Mandela World Music Festival is an international outdoor music event that doubles as a two-day food drive to help restock the city's food banks, support continuing education initiatives, and justice advocacy programs. The celebration also features a July 24, 2014 symposium at The Potter's House, Nelson Mandela: Life, Mission & Legacy, live music, and food and retail vendors. Expected to be billed as the largest world music festival in the region, crowd expectation over the two-day weekend is expected to reach 30,000 people.
