My husband bought me a nice sewing machine for Christmas 2018 and I have been sewing non-stop ever since I received it! My sister has been using a Cricket vinyl cutter for years and she influenced me to buy one. Instead I purchased a Silhouette Cameo 3, which I love. Now I can make things and decorate them as well! My first creation was a beach bag that I made for myself. People who saw it were so impressed they said I should make and sell them. Well, I took their advice and have only sold three of those bags, but I have made many for gifts. I decided to expand and make other types of bags which have done better. In addition to beach bags, I now make diaper bags, diaper wallets, tote bags, purses, Christmas stockings, Easter baskets and Halloween bags. I don't have a booming business by any means. I spend way more on supplies than I will ever make by selling my products! I just enjoy sewing and creating different things. My problem is that I'm just not a sales person. I only advertise on Facebook and Etsy and have done only one craft show. I joined Festival Net in hopes of finding other craft shows that I may be able to attend.
