Chule's wool blankets are all hand-woven by Niko Čulevski, a sixth generation weaver from Macedonia.  The wool blankets are woven on floor looms built by Niko's dad Chule with 100% very soft Merino wool at Chule's, a weaving studio in Torrance, CA.  They are preshrunk and thus are machine washable. They are also very affordable: single (50"x76") for $120, double (68"x86") for $180 and king (100"x104") for $250. Often the woven patterns are traditional (Rosenkransen and broken twill), mixing the heritage from South Eastern Europe and early America.

Niko follows the weaving philosophy of his ancestors:  weave what you love, weave it well, and make it affordable so others can enjoy it.  This dedication to the art of weaving, the commitment to quality work, use of natural fibers in consort with environmental and animal concerns, and affordability has earned the Čulevski family many friends and followers.

Niko has participated in hundreds if not thousands of art and craft shows and festivals all over the US in the last 45 years and has won too many awards and ribbons to count. Here is a list of few festivals in which we have participated: ACE (NY), Rosen (MD, NY), Sun Valley (ID), Park City (UT), Mill Valley (CA), Sausalito(CA), Folklife (WA), Crested Butte (CO), Ann Arbor (MI), KPFA (CA), Palo Alto (CA), Cherry Creek (CO), State College (PA), Lancaster (PA), Rhinebeck (NY), Golden (CO), …
