I begin the process by hand-drawing the subject to a sheet of aluminum or Hot Rolled Steel.
Next, meticulously cutting out the image using a hand-held plasma torch. The resulting highly detailed silhouette is then burnished with a hand grinder. A velvety texture is then created by swirled patterns in the surface of the metal.
Finally the piece truly comes to life by shaping, Hammering and hand-form, now suggesting a dynamic sense of movement and dimensionality.
The final step is to determine the finish, which is never planned.
I hope you enjoy my passion for art, I know I enjoy creating every piece.
Enjoy Life … Stay Creative
