Gulf State Park - Gulf Shores, AL

The Ballyhoo Festival is a juried fine arts festival with additional emphasis on cultural exchange. Artist prizes will be $6,000. On March 1, the Poarch Creek Indians will share their history and will have two performances of original tribal dance. On March 2, Florabama and the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival will present a Fiddle/Banjo Competition with $4,000 in prize money awarded. This is a part of early American Appalachian culture. Fine art, fine crafts, great music, cultural exchange children's art activities, and great food!

From the toddler who competes in the Miss Shrimp Festival Pageant to the teenager who aspires to become a professional sand sculptor to the 80-year-old resident who volunteers to answer questions at the information booth, there is something for everyone. We celebrate art, food, music, and fellowship for four days overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
