Member Since: March 26, 2015
Festival biz experience: 8+ years
Houston, Texas
Musician. Writer. Outlaw. Underdog. Burn Survivor. These are just a few of the words that could be used to describe Francie Krienitz. Her debut album Cigarettes & Whiskey is going to show the world just that. With her feet as restless as her soul, Francie Krienitz has made her mark regionally as an up-and-coming country & southern rock singer/songwriter. Her first exposure to the recording studio was as part of a backing youth choir on Anita Kruse's single "If We Can Fly To The Moon" benefiting 9/11 victims. In the years since then, Francie Krienitz has played on great stages at venues such as Dosey Doe's Music Cafe, Masones Saloon, Bareback Bar & Grill, West Houston Food Truck Festival, and Steamboat Music Festival, just to name a few. In the summer of 2014, Francie Krienitz had over a quarter of her body badly burned in a tragic accident that nearly took the ability to play guitar from her. She fought and continues to fight a battle with PTSD, but has since relearned how to play guitar and is stronger and more passionate than ever about the music that has brought her through it all. She now uses her personal experiences to assist and support various veteran organizations and benefits focusing on PTSD and rehabilitation. Cigarettes &Whiskey will be her debut album releasing in Spring of 2016, which utilizes an astounding lineup of talented musicians including members of Roger Creager Band & Chad Ware Band. Francie Krienitz is definitely going to be one to look out for!
