Glamour Art was created to provide custom home décor to customers with distinguishing tastes. It all started during a home furnishing shopping trip. My family and I were looking for unique pieces to furnish my home when we quickly discovered that a retail store could never get us exactly what we were looking for. So we struggled to find those perfect pieces for the home from furniture, to art work, to bed spreads; we were completely unsuccessful in finding the perfect pieces that would allow us to express our style. So I started to play around with ideas and came to the conclusion that I could provide to other what I myself was looking for. So I took the risk and started to experiment with various materials because everything that was being offered via retail has become very boring and unoriginal.
I began with a dining room chair and a very famous painting by Gustov Klimt titled “The Kiss”. I had it printed on fabric and made a Velcro slip cover to go over the chair. This chair was then outlined with beautiful matching velvet to give it a very beautiful and tasteful look. Suddenly, a regular white chair became a very unique piece of artwork. Not only was it beautiful but it was practical as well. I designed this chair with the ability for the slipcover to come off and to be dry cleaned. Many have said that they like chairs to be all the same and to contain the same images (paintings), where others have gone the opposite route and ordered different images (paintings ) or even photographs (nature or portraits of family members) for each chair. Some have even ordered two sets for each chair, one for everyday use (casual) and a second set (more elegant and fancy). Glamour Art gives its customers the freedom to explore their individual styles with possibilities that can only occur when an item is custom made. Remember, that just because we do not offer a particular item does not mean that we cannot create it for you. Everything is doable at Glamour Art!
We then moved on to artwork including framed, unframed, and gallery wrap art prints that would be perfect for the home, office, or for anywhere else a piece of art would be appreciated. We started to print on crystal glass beads and it became a huge success. Many people couldn’t believe that the art work hanging on their wall was made of glass beads while others wondered why the artwork gave off such an amazing radiance. Customers simply cannot get enough of the glass bead’s texture so it has become one of our most popular materials. The glass beads were simply a magnificent discovery. You just have to see and feel these works of art for yourself.
Thanks to our clients we began to have great success and so we quickly moved on to other materials. We started printing on silver shimmering canvases, which have a similar look and feel to the crystal beads, but with are more affordable and weigh less. We have also printed on wood, mirrors, plastic, various types of canvas, fabrics, corks, and other materials.
