My name is Betty Reineke, As a self taught artist, I started painting on my own when our girls were still in elementary school 30 years ago. In the past 12 years I started watching art instructors on TV and gained an insight on more techniques which helped me grow as an artist, I wish they were there 30 years ago.
I love to share ideas, paint and chat with others and truly enjoy teaching and sharing my love for painting. So feel free to contact me.
Art is ever learning. So many subjects to catch the eye. Did I say I love it (grinning), it keeps my interest going.
I enjoy painting from photos of landscapes, scenery, our feathered friends and some animals, painting structures like old barns and buildings, familiar sites of local towns and towns where I have visited and laying the colors on canvas from my palette the way I interpret it.
Occasionally I paint saws (esp. like the old two handled cross cut saws) with tractors, indian and farm scenes.
My favorite painting medium; Acrylic.
I never frame my canvas, I found people want to match the frames they already use at the office or home. Plus, it is a personal preference. I might chose a black frame and you might want a brown frame.
