Malia (daughter) + Mary (mother) are the owners/crafters of this shop. Malia is the creative talent of the duo as she is an architect and designer and Mary follows instructions well (and gives them even better)! Using her creative skills, Malia designs and carves stamps and makes beautiful hand-printed fabric. The first creations were clutches and totes. Mary really wanted to be a part of the business and knew there was NO way she could carve a stamp but was intrigued with the hand-dyeing art of Shibori. The dynamic duo (sorry, couldn't help the pun) got together with a few yards of fabric, a bucket of dye, rope, clothes pins and an iron. Our first Shibori fabric came to life. We absolutely love making our original design fabrics! Every product we made comes from the heart. Everything we sew is beautiful and functional - like deep inside pockets in our totes to our pillow covers that slip over an existing pillow or pillow insert. Walker caddies or purses are made from fabric that we decorate with dye, stamps or embriodery. Mary started making these when her mom had to use a walker. Malia + Mary will always make sure that walker users have artfully chic walker caddies that function well for their lifestyle too!
