This bowl is made from white stoneware clay. The heavily textured exterior and craggy rim features a wash of yellow ocher, brushed on the greenware prior to bisque firing, with a layer of clear transparent glaze applied before glaze firing. The interior features a glaze with colored frit inclusions, creating the rich, highly reflective red and green effect.

The resulting bowl measures 4.50 inches maximum width and 3.25 inches maximum height including the foot. It would serve equally well as a functional object of daily use or as a purely decorative item. The glazes are food safe and it is both dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
