Several years ago when I was in Varanasi, India I photographed these night fishermen as part of my series on fishermen. Apparently the best time to fish is at night because the fish come up to the surface. I noted this when I was in China in the early 90’s on a night boat trip and the cormorants were just skimming the surface to fill their gullets.
