My Shop Policies

Welcome Message:  Welcome to Sweet Medicine Farms where we strive to use as many all-natural and farm raised products in our soaps whenever possible.  While we are not certified organic, we use organic olive, almond, coconut, sunflower & castor oils as well as sustainably produced palm oil.  Our goats are not certified organic but receive regular vetinary care that does NOT include antibiotics or hormones.  Our goats browse freely on our grounds and are loved and respected as members of our farm family. Some of our soaps are scented with sulfate-free fragrance Oils which are not all-natural. This is where we compromise as some customer requested scents cannot be captured in essential oil distillations. Soaps with Herbal in the name are scented with 100% essential oils and ARE all-Natural.  We do NOT use any dyes in our soaps, but color with natural botanicals, mineral tinted micas, spices or culinary colorants such as coffee or cocoa.  We top our soaps with natural exfolients such as toasted almonds, dried floral buds, seeds, garden grown herbs or ground coffee.  Our packaging is biodegradable cellophane made from sustainably harvested corn and/or wood cellulose.  We are always seeking to improve our products and any feedback from our customers is always appreciated!   

Payments:  We offer several payment options.  Our website offers SSL certified credit card payment options as well as PayPal.  We also accept checks or money orders, and your order will be shipped as soon as payment clears.

Shipping & Order Processing: We ship USPS Priority Mail.  We ship in 1-3 business days.  Sometimes we can get the order out the same day, however, we often travel for weekend shows and therefore if you order something on Friday, we may not be able to process your order until monday.  Because we live in Northern Idaho we are somewhat remote and depend on our mail carrier for shipping.  Since we only have mail pick-up once a day that will determine whether we can ship same day as processing or if it will have to go out the following day. If you need a different mailing option or an express option, please feel free to contact us personally and we will do our best to meet your needs.  

Refunds and Exchanges: Due to the hygenic nature of our product we do not offer refunds.  If you wish to change an order prior to shipping, please call us and we will be happy to try and accomodate your request.

Additional Information: Our shampoos and foaming facial cleansers are made with purified water and therefore require a preservative additive.  We researched which preservatives were reviewed by Organic Consumer Watchdog organizations and found Suttocide A (for High Ph products) and Cocomil C (for lower Ph products) to come highly recommended.  Because we strive to have as few synthetic chemicals in our products, we do NOT add emulsifiers and therefore you will have to shake well before using.  Our foaming bottles utilize air compression and do not operate as well in temperatures below 45 degrees.  Please do NOT add any water or other additives to your liquid soaps as this could offset the preservative:water ratio making the product vulnerable to contamination.
