Midway Foods, Davenport, FL
In 1980 my Father had to keep himself busy after years of truck driving so one of my brothers purchased him a stepvan and we converted it into a mobile kitchen to go around to local businesses. After three years of doing that dad went to our local fairgrounds and booked in. The show owners son became friends instantly and we started traveling throughout new york eventually going up and down the east coast. After Dad past on,I took over the management part of the business while Mom kept up with the ever changing bookwork. In 2002 Mom semi-retired and I took over the company until her full retirement in 2007. In 2008 the business was changed from the original F & K Concession to the new MIDWAY FOODS. We have added some items like turkey legs and another trailer with fresh dough pizza. After the 2009 season we downsized to taking just the fry stand over the road and sold the pizza. The funnel cake and fried dough trailer was wrapped in 2009 and has remained the standard of excellence throughout new york state since 1984.
