The Green Elephant is a collaboration of passionate, creative and enterprising minds seeking to synthesize the diverse craft traditions of ethnic Indian artisans with contemporary fashion trends to bring chic, trendy and affordable products to the consumer.
Our catalog ranges from home furnishings, such as pillow covers and bed-spreads to fashion accessories like brocade pouches, silk stoles and block-print wallets as well as decorative accents.
We work closely with village artisans in cottage industries around India and leverage their raw potential by furnishing them with contemporary design ideas, access to materials and quality control feedback.
Being eco-conscious is not only a mere mantra but one of our company’s mission statements; the “Green” in its name being a testament to that fact. Some of our products are crafted from jute, a 100% eco-friendly material made from natural vegetable plant fibers.
The continuing endeavor at The Green Elephant is to bring our customers, affordable, fashionable furnishings while helping to sustain the daily living of our rural artisans and doing our bit for the planet as well.
