celebrating the Oldest Operating cotton Gin in America in tiny Burton, Pop.300,
on Hwy 290 halfway between Austin & Houston!

Everything kicks off April 20th, 2024 with the Main Street Parade at 10am,
then the fun continues on the grounds of the Texas Cotton Gin Museum
with music, games, contests, tractor pull & antique engine show,
food, arts & craft booths, folklife demonstrations,
a children's barnyard petting zoo, tours of the 1914 Burton Farmer's Gin,
and a live demonstration of a cotton bale being ginned!

The Texas Cotton Gin Museum uses the annual Burton Cotton Gin Festival as a vehicle to educate the public about the historic importance of cotton. It is an active and vital setting in which to explore the mechanical achievements of cotton ginning.
