Governor’s Plan to reopen:

Connecticut currently has a robust reopening plan in place and is in phase 2.1 of this plan.

Mask Mandates:

In Connecticut, any person in a public place in Connecticut, whether indoors or outdoors, who is not six feet from every other person must wear a face covering. Face coverings must also be worn while in public transportation or publicly available private transportation or within any semi-enclosed transit stop. Additionally, there are a number of exceptions to the class of persons generally required to wear a mask (those younger than 2 years old, et cetera).

Mass Gathering Restrictions:

Currently, under Phase 2.1 of reopening, private gatherings at a commercial venue are limited to 25 people indoors or 50 people outdoors. Private gatherings at a private residence are limited to 10 people indoors or outdoors. Graduations may host up to 50% of the venue's capacity if indoors, and up to 50% capacity or 100% capacity with six feet social distancing if outdoors. Religious gatherings, both indoors and outdoors, are limited to 50% capacity or 100% capacity if six feet of physical distancing is possible. Outdoor event venues have 25% of Fire Capacity and distancing. Outdoor organized gatherings, those open to the public, may allow up to 500 attendees if 15 feet of space is available between groups.

For all gatherings, every participant must wear a face mask and must physically distance from others by at least six feet.
