Discover the world of the dog sledder during a day of winter fun at the Wildlife Science Center on January 30th, 2021 from 11 am ‑ 4 pm. Mushers and their dog teams will be on‑hand to meet and inform participants about this incredible winter sport. The day's activities include demonstrations by local experts on equipment and techniques, vendors, campfires, and the opportunity to see and learn about the Wildlife Science Center's amazing animals.

Governor’s Plan to reopen:

Continuing to Safely Reopen Minnesota’s Economy and Ensure Safe Non-Work Activities during the COVID-19 Peacetime Emergency (5/27)

Mask Mandates:

Requirement. Under EO 20-81 (effective July 25, 2020), Minnesotans are required to wear a face covering in indoor businesses and indoor public settings. Exempts persons with a medical condition and children under the age of 6.

Effective May 7, fully vaccinated staff, patients, visitors, and residents do not need to wear face covering in healthcare settings but must follow the guidance for healthcare settings issued by federal authorities, including the CDC and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Additionally, face coverings do not need to be worn at outdoor gyms.

Mass Gathering Restrictions:

Effective May 7, indoor social gatherings are limited to 50 people. There is no limit on outdoor social gatherings. Additionally, organizers of social gatherings are encouraged to wait to hold such gatherings until participants can be fully vaccinated.

Additionally, places of worship, funeral homes, and venues that offer space for event such as wedding ceremonies and funeral services must develop and implement a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan.
