Once a baker/pastry chef/display decorator, I am now retired and doing painting, working in pen/ink and colored pencil, with acrylics for murals. Rendering since four years of age, am a themescapist - one who takes abstract ideas and visualizes them, whether they visualize as still life, landscapes, or with figures within. Generally working in 20"x30" to 32"x40" sizes, my love of detail makes good use of the finality of ink at a size to draw the viewer into mostly imaginary worlds, and the colors of pencils, as well now of inks, adds further dimensions to my imaginative world... with the themes giving much contemplative metaphors to insights as I see them of this, the real world.
