After the Spider Band, Pompton Plains, NJ
We are a band called After the Spider and are looking to expand our performing areas and increase our fan base.
We are a powerful teenage live band from Northern New Jersey and New York. We bring our different styles to create our own special sound. We perform original music, along with covers of rock classics and alternative music. We are comfortable playing in front of large crowds or in intimate settings. We love making music and performing. It is what drives us to be better.
We have been likened to a cross between The White Stripes and Nirvana, with the guitar tones of Pantara.
We are:
Evan Fortgang - Guitar and backing vocals. Evan started playing when he was 6 years old after he heard Megadeth on the radio and the guitarist in his Dad's band. He knew then that music would be what he wanted to do. Evan's abundant knowledge of music theory is what formed his modal writing and improvisational style of playing. Evan also picked up the drums at age 9 and later vocals, however guitar remains his main instrument. He plays guitar at his high schools Jazz Band and snare drum in their marching band.
Sean Demarest - Bass and lead vocals. Sean started playing guitar at age 11. He changed over to bass at 15. The bass just felt right. He is constantly writing new original music. Besides music, Sean is a varsity athlete at his high school. He is on the football and track teams.
Aaron Anesgart - Drums. Aaron's passion for music started when he was 7, experimenting with keyboard and guitar until he met his true love, THE DRUMS. Although his inspiration is Rock, he is a versatile musician, participating in concert band, percussion ensemble, jazz band and marching band. He is a proud member of his high schools Marching Band, who brought home the 2014 National Championship. His knowledge of various styles of drumming allows him to play multiple genres of music.
