Aldridge Gardens is a 30-acre woodland garden celebrating its 10th year. It was the former home of gardens founders Kay and Eddie Aldridge who conveyed it to the City of Hoover to be used for public garden in 2002. The Gardens focus is on hydrangeas including the Snowflake Hydrangea patented by Eddie Aldridge and is the Official City Flower of Hoover and art featuring outdoor sculpture by Frank Fleming, Robert Taylor and Ted Metz and a gallery of Frank Fleming sculpture and a variety of artwork that rotates month to month. Enjoy trails, 5-acre lake, half-mile trail around lake, shade garden, picnic area, events and classes.
