Alexander County is located in the foothills of western North Carolina. We have a population of approximately 37,000 residents. Our "crown jewel" is Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area where we hold special events and offer unique amenities such as rock climbing, hiking, picnicking, camping, geocaching, and more.
