About

Amanda Daughtry, Garner, NC

Member Since: February 21, 2013
Garner, North Carolina
It doesn't get more country than a 7 year old little girl hearing Randy Travis' "Diggin' Up Bones" on the radio and finding herself in Nashville with a tidal wave of a career poised to hit the shore sooner than later.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Amanda Daughtry.

Originally hailing from Johnston County, North Carolina, Amanda has spent the past few years solidifying her status as a must-see performer in all areas of the state that built her into the woman she is today. Her roots can be seen through the lens of her family musical influence, which can be traced back to her grandmother, who led the 1st soprano section of the church choir. Eventually, once she was old enough to drive, Amanda was able to go off and sing as a part of many theatre and country variety shows in the area. Eventually, she put together a full band of her own and spent a number of years booking and managing the outfit herself as they traveled.

Amanda has built a solid reputation of performing a vast array of current and classic country music, classic rock, and mainstream pop alongside songs of her own that she shares with those who are willing to listen. Any given night, there's not a chance that someone walks out of the show without having a great time. Amanda's success has been validated with opportunities to open for top country acts like Chris Young and Justin Moore.

In mid-2012, Amanda made the full-time move to Nashville, TN to have access to the many resources that the city's vast music machine has to offer. There, she's been writing new songs with a number of incredibly accomplished writers and transitioned into using a Nashville-based band, all of whom have been linked to a number of the industry's best performers. Basing out of Nashville also gives Amanda the ability to book shows in a widening scope, branching into Georgia, Florida, and Texas, all while continuing to entertain a healthy fan base in North Carolina.

Whatever happens in 2013 will be the result of time, effort, and great music made by Amanda and her band. No doubt that Amanda will find every ear willing to listen to her plans to make things happen.

Do yourself a favor this year and find out if Amanda Daughtry is going to be performing near you. Come out and enjoy the show. She can't do this without you.
