Angeles Chorale auditions 50th Season

Angeles Chorale is holding auditions for an exciting 50th Season!

Join one of the most exciting and dynamic choral groups in Los Angeles! We're passionate about making great music and always on the lookout for more fantastic singers. Membership represents a significant commitment of time, including weekly Tuesday night rehearsals held in Pasadena or at Westwood Hills Congregational Church. Our performing member dues are $250 for the season or $25 per month for 12 months, scholarships are available for those in need. If you participated in your collegiate chorus or have studied music, you're probably a good candidate. Firmly grounded choral musicians are encouraged to audition. Our 50th season will be full of exciting performance opportunities, rehearsals will begin on Tuesday September 10, 2024.

Angeles Chorale Sight Singing + Music Skills Workshop
Thank you for your interest in the Sight Singing + Music Skills Workshop.  The Angeles Chorale is committed to not only providing opportunities for our singers and the community to experience incredible choral music but also provide opportunity for artists to continue to develop and hone their craft.  
WHAT: Join us for a 90 minute long workshop to focus on one of the most common obstacles to good musicianship, sight-reading, and auditions - our fear of making mistakes. This workshop is designed to turn that anxious energy into confident excitement, by giving you proactive strategies, tools, and exercises to help identify and focus on what matters in the music. 
DATE: Thursday, September 5th
TIME: 7:30PM-9PM 
LOCATION: Victory Theater - 3326 W Victory Blvd, Burbank CA 91505
PARTICIPANTS: This event is open to anyone who is interested in continuing to hone their craft. 
COST: $20 in advance, $25 at the door.  Payment can be made via venmo, paypal, zelle or cash.  Payment information provided upon registration.  
WHO: Brandon J. Rolle is a composer and conductor whose work combines cognition, psychoacoustics, and technology in order to create immersive musical works. As an educator, Dr. Rolle's work focuses on developing new strategies and methods for musical training: he has created innovative new courses for universities, teaches hands-on masterclasses, and is the founding director of the Impulse New Music Festival, a training program for talented early-career composers. Brandon holds a PhD in Music Composition from University of California, Santa Barbara, and has taught at UC Santa Barbara, CSArts - San Gabriel Valley, and California State University, Northridge. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California where he composes and teaches for the Colburn School Conservatory of Music and Chapman University's Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music.
