Evangelist Anya A. Dixon, on the surface, is a talented and extremely accomplished Contemporary Christian and Gospel artist and musician. But more than an accomplished musician, Anya Dixon is a person who influences and persuades people of all walks of life; whose talent is highly sought after; and whose reputation as an artist is respected and trusted.
Anya is an anointed singer, songwriter, musician, producer, engineer, and music instructor who makes music her life. From the piano lessons that began at age three, to playing musical instruments and singing in churches, orchestras, choirs, and jazz bands, she has craved the joys that music bring; and most rewardingly, she shares it all with others.
Being spiritually focused has guided Anya's career and she owes this to her home church, Red Hill Baptist Church in Gadsden, SC, where she has served as the Minister of Music since 2000. Going beyond her local church, Anya currently holds the position as the Assistant Director of Music for the South Carolina Baptist Congress of Christian Education. In July of 2013, Anya became licensed as a Minister/Evangelist of the Gospel and was ordained in November of 2015. She now serves as the Youth Pastor at Red Hill Baptist Church.
The doors to the music industry began to open in 2006 when Anya Dixon released her first CD, "New Life," which she wrote and produced under her label, All "A" Music Productions. This album allowed her to receive a Resolution from the South Carolina House of Representatives for her contributions to the music industry as well as a nomination for Gospel Recording Artist of the Year at the 3rd Annual South Carolina Music Awards.
Anya Dixon has been blessed to share the stage with major recording artists including J. Moss, 21:03, Jonathan Nelson, Kathy Taylor, Erica Campbell, Jonathan McReynolds, Anthony Brown, Dr. Leonard Scott, Kierra Sheard, and many more. In June 2009, she had the privilege to open for and sing background for Pastor Marvin Sapp. Her music is played worldwide on several internet and terrestrial radio stations and has been featured on national television.
Anya Dixon is excited about the release of her sophomore project, "Overcomer," which she wrote and produced along with Roosevelt "Snoop" McLamore. The highly anticipated album features the hit singles "No One Else” and “Hiding Place,” which have landed Anya a spot in the WFMV Praise It Or Blaze It Hall of Fame after 7 consecutive wins. She also holds the titles of the 2017 Rhythm of Gospel Awards Contemporary Artist of the Year, 2018 Rhythm of Gospel Awards Urban Contemporary Artist of the Year, 2018 Gospel Image Awards Best Contemporary Female Artist, and 2018 South Carolina Music Plug Awards Female Artist of the Year. “Overcomer” is sure to reach the masses as it's comprised of styles that range from praise and worship to contemporary Christian and even neo-soul. Anya says,
"It's a little something for everyone because even though we have different tastes in music, we are all OVERCOMERS through Christ.”
The “Overcomer” CD can be purchased from all digital outlets.
