The Arma VJ Homecoming is the only small Town celebration of VJ Day.  Each year since 1946, the close-knit community of Arma comes alive for Arma VJ Homecoming, a cherished tradition that honors the end of World War II and celebrates hometown pride. What began as a tribute to Victory over Japan Day has grown into one of Southeast Kansas's most beloved community festivals.

Held in August each year, the event blends patriotic remembrance with classic small-town fun. Visitors can expect a lively parade featuring veterans, local organizations, and creative floats, along with live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend. From kids activities and games to craft booths and local eats, there's something for every age.
