I had a ton of cardstock I kept thinking I would do something with someday. That someday came when I wanted to send some notes to some friends. When I pulled out the cardstock, I grabbed an acrylic paint kit sitting nearby. I made some simple marks on the paper that could be thought of as flowers.
I finally became brave enough to post some of my work as birthday greetings on Facebook. I was surprised by how many "likes" and "comments" I received. One friend's comment, "Cleo, your paintings make me smile," helped me realize that was exactly the reaction I hadn't known I was wanting.
