For many years, I have created exceptionally powerful yet elegant works of art in wood and alabaster, that are indisputably pleasing to the eye. I work hard at providing the best by using top grade, hand selected woods and have recently in the last year started creating pieces in Alabaster. Experience has helped determine what finishes will produce a durable, long lasting, quality item. Every wood item is finished with a minimum seven coats. Most of my creations are of my own designs however, I can work from your designs or layouts.
There are woods and products I refuse to use. I also know that not everyone wants to pay the extra time and material, so there is a better-than-most finishes available. For those who feel they want an even better finish, eight to nines coats are applied. Most of my creations are of my own designs however, I can work from your designs or layouts.
My wife Dee, also helps in making my art shine. She will apply the many finishes, and embeds the turquoise into the worm holes that are left by the worms. We are a team, and when not doing Art shows in the summer (17-25 a year) we are making new and exiting products for the gallery and next year shows.
Here’s a list of items we sell: Wine bottle stoppers, turned bowls, urns, egg kaleidoscopes, pencil kaleidoscopes, teleidoscopes, toothpick key chain holders and pill box key chains, salt & pepper shakers, wine glasses, etc. I do all the turnings on two different lathes. Majority of the woods I uses are exotic woods from around the world, as well as our local woods, such as Aspen, Cedar, and Pine Beetle Kill. The alabaster we use comes from Ft. Collins, Utah and New Mexico.
