B-17 Alliance Foundation was established as a 501 C(3) non-profit in 2006 to restore the B-17G Gas Station Bomber to her original flying glory.  Today, our mission is “Honoring the American Spirit”.

Under these Wings:

We Preserve American History.  We Educate Generations.  We Inspire Community.

This B-17G is one of the great aircraft of World War II, a Flying Fortress, integral in America's Victory.  She represents the men & women who served our country during that great watershed time in our nation's history, at home and abroad.  This aircraft remind us to Never Forget the sacrifices made to preserve our precious American freedoms.  This is much more than a restoration of a rare aircraft.   With community support, we are creating a memorial for our WWII Heroes, the aviation fleet that served them and the women & children at home who sacrificed for our Right of Freedom.

With less than 50 remaining B-17's in the world.  The “Lacey Lady” is an iconic treasure.    She has the lowest air time of any B-17 in the world.

A Restoration Hangar & Museum have been established at the Historic Salem McNary Airfield.  Here volunteers are restoring the “Lacey Lady” and sharing the stories of our Greatest Generation.   Remembering WWII and those veterans who fought to win, isn't just something we do to make us feel better, it is the right thing to do.  This history is a reflection of the strong work ethic and honorable integrity of past generations.  Nothing gets you more excited than discovering a cause and tapping into it.  Join B-17 Alliance, embrace your core American value system and let the mission reward your heart and soul.

This is a multi-million dollar endeavor.  Please join us to see the Lacey Lady fly again to honor our Nation's Greatest Heroes, our Veterans.     Donate, volunteer, join us at events, come for a tour!

Open Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Salem, Oregon Airport.  Gate W-10 by the tower.
