Basic Circle-Of-Art, Borrego Springs, CA
BASIC (Basic Assistance to Students in the Community) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Borrego Springs, California. Our charitable volunteer organization is committed to empowering youth and adults in the Borrego Springs community to pursue educational opportunities and achievement by providing grants, scholarships and programs that will help these students reach their potential and realize their dreams.
The Circle of Art, our fine arts show and sale, is BASIC's oldest major fundraiser. It began in 1989 - by 1992 the first "Print of the Year" was produced and in 1993 The Circle of Art became a singular stand alone event drawing upon the beauty of the Anza Borrego Desert in the Spring. Every year in March, Borrego Springs is host to the Circle of Art at Christmas Circle Park in the heart of the village. This fine arts show is FREE to the public and features approximately seventy artists. All proceeds from the Circle of Art go towards BASIC's educational projects and scholarships for the residents of the Borrego Springs Community.
