What a summer!

Seven stops, eighteen days the kettle was hot.
The Thursday habit. If you've been to the Chico Thursday Night Farmers Market this summer, you've walked past us. We've popped every Thursday since July 23, which makes eight in a row, with two to go on September 17 and 24 before the market wraps up for the year. Same corner of the routine every week: kettle corn coming off the kettle, and cold Lemon Shakers right next to it for anyone who's been walking the market in the heat.
Two kettles, two towns. Twice this summer both booths were out at once. On August 15 one kettle was up in Graeagle for the first day of the Lost Sierra fair while the other was at Harrison Stadium in Oroville. On August 29 it happened again: Oroville High football at Harrison Stadium, and the Duck Calling Championship down in Colusa the same day. That's what two kettles are for. Adam runs one and Jeff runs the other, and on days like those you'll find a red tent in one town and a yellow tent in another.
Up the hill. Two of the stops took the kettle into Plumas County. We wrote about both before we went: the Lost Sierra Artists & Crafters Fair in Graeagle, two days at Herb Rowe Memorial Park in the middle of August, and the Labor Day weekend art show in Chester, two days at Collins Pine Park on Lake Almanor. Mountain air and a hot kettle get along fine.
Football season. Three of those eighteen days were at Harrison Stadium in Oroville, and that's the start of it, not the end. We work football seasons all fall. What's next. The calendar keeps going this fall! Here's what's confirmed as of today:
- Marysville Stampede: September 12 and 13, this weekend, close to home
- Chico Thursday Night Farmers Market: September 17 and 24, the last two of the season
- Harrison Stadium, Oroville: September 26
- Johnny Appleseed Days, Paradise: October 3 and 4
- Calvary Christian Center, Yuba City: October 16, 5 to 9 pm
- Yuba City Christmas Stroll: December 12 on Plumas Street, 2 to 8 pm
