Vanessa Ramirez
Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ of Chandler, Arizona is a non-profit dance organization celebrating the colorful tradition of Mexican folkloric dance. Under the direction of Vanessa Ramirez, the group began as a recreational class at Snedigar Recreation Center in Chandler. As one of very few East Valley folklorico groups currently operating, interest in the dance troupe has grown rapidly in its sixth year existence, from just 6 students in June of 2008 to more than 80 students currently.
Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ takes the audience on an exciting and colorful journey around Mexico's states through dance. This dance organization has performed in Las Vegas during the International Mariachi & Folklorico Conference at the Alexis Theater-Planet Hollywood, Disney's California Adventure Backlot Stage, Flagstaff Fiesta de Mayo, Food City Mundialito and Cinco de Mayo Festivities, Tempe Center for the Arts, Chandler Mariachi Festival, Chandler Center for the Arts, and many more.
