Baskets by Barbara Burgeson - Tapestry baskets –
Hand woven baskets are free form and one of a kind. They incorporate a large variety of materials from hard wood bases and oak weavers to hand gathered palm inflorescence and local Florida plant material. Many are so intricately woven that different patterns can be seen from every angle with a small turn of the basket.
Barb uses solid oak bases, sea grass, cane, natural and dyed reed, natural and dyed raffia, pine needles, silk, dyed hemp, philodendron, royal palm, pigmy date palm, silver blue palm, spanish moss. Inspired by Elizabeth Geisler, Barb created her won tapestry style.
