I have been working leather for thirty years, and operated Bear's Leather Den in Belington for ten years. I presently own and operate Bears Leather Shop on Stalnaker Rd in Philippi WV. I have made or repaired almost everything made of leather, common and uncommon. I make wallets, belts, key cases, magnetic money clips, clutch purses, gun slings, knife cases, flasks, ect etc. Anything that people request, or need. I also do portraits in leather, of people, pets and objects. Plus I do pictures of wildlife, and scenes in leather of any size. All of my work is done by hand, with standard leather carving tools. I carve all of my designs by hand and never two the same, and unless it is requested to be plain, I carve designs on each of my project s. I do figure carving, as well as scroll carving, and I air brush the dyes and finish. I hand lace or hand sew, which ever is needed, and I use nothing but USA grown and tanned leather in my projects to the best of my ability. I have made portraits of Charlie Daniels, and David Allen Coe, and presented each one his portrait, and I have sold numerous pictures that I have made.
